Climate Solutions Accelerator :: Color Your Community Green Marketing Assets

Color Your Community Green (CYCG) is an initiative of the Climate Solutions Accelerator of the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region that mobilizes climate action across small scale municipalities. CYCG is a network of all-volunteer climate-focused citizen action teams advocating for environmental justice and equitable climate solutions at the municipal level. To help CYCG teams participate in community events and promote awareness, we designed a customizable business card, canvas event banner, and t-shirts.

What's Good® :: "One Good Thing" Butterfly Card

To generate engagement with What's Good® customers throughout the month of February, we designed an inspirational card communicating the company's core values, mailed with every customer order. Messaging with the card encouraged customers to use it as a gentle reminder to notice the good around them — big and small, every day — by holding the cutout in front of something good and filling the butterfly wings with what they see. Customers were invited to snap a photo and tag What's Good on social media, or to simply keep the card as a daily reminder of gratitude.

"Unity" Custom Lettered Alphabet

Unity is a custom-lettered alphabet inspired by themes of social justice and humanity and features two design weights — thin and extra bold. The alphabet uses a design system that unites squares with circles, straight with wavy lines, serifs with sans-serifs, black with white. The extra bold design unites vector line with thick paint strokes, digital with paint, machine with the human hand. The union of these elements represents life, humanity, and our ultimate need to come together and reject divisions.

This work was included in the "Extra Bold" Social Justice Exhibition on display at the Arts and Innovation Center Gallery at Rowan College of South Jersey in 2019.
